Daytime Practical Course

Each year the Queen holds garden parties, hundreds of people are invited and after meeting with the Royal family guests are invited to afternoon tea, 27,000 cups of tea, 20,000 sandwiches and 20,000 slices of cake are served. Quite which cake is presented we do not know but we would hazard a guess that guests would be treated to a perfect Victoria sponge filled with homemade strawberry jam or possibly a gateau de la reine. A sumptuous chocolate cake named after the Queen of Sheba. Join us for cakes fit for a Queen and take home recipes for your own summer garden party.
