Demo & Dine

A Taste of Lucy’s Demo & Dine encourages you to try out some of our extremely popular dishes that feature on our menus at Lucy’s on a Plate Café and Restaurant in Ambleside – a combination of both sweet and savoury … from Bobbing Bobotie … to Racked and Ready (lamb) … Fig in the Middle to Borrowdale Sticky Banana the menu changes with the seasons.
Rather like a 'culinary bookclub’ without the homework' The evening commences at 6.30pm with a welcome "LucyCooktail" drink and introduction to fellow guests, you can have a good look around the facilities at LucyCooks and hopefully be inspired to come and 'cook' on another occasion. You will then be seated 'dinner party' style in our lovely big Aga kitchen and enjoy watching one of our chefs demonstrate the recipes, upon which you will then dine. There is a large plasma screen, so plenty of visibility. Wine, soft drinks and beer will be available to purchase. Handy hints will be freely given out and there will be the opportunity to ask questions. This is a most enjoyable 'alternative' dining experience whether you wish to come with friends or alone.
(We aim to finish the evening at 10.00pm – however, you may be having so much fun that you stay a little longer!-please advise us if you have any dietary requirements
