Game has long been hunted or raised for the British table.

Bored with beef? Fancy a change from chicken? Then it's time to give game a go! Whether you are planning a special treat or want a simple supper that's on the table in minutes, game will always fit the bill.

Pheasant, venison, boar, partridge, quail or rabbit, whichever you plump for, you are making a healthy choice. Game is wild and natural. It's also healthier than many red meats. For anyone on a low fat or low cholesterol diet, venison makes a brilliant alternative to beef - just as tasty and extra lean.

So, let’s go wild about game.... our seasonal recipes could include Game Pie with roasted vegetables and goat's cheese mash, Guinea fowl supreme filled with chestnut stuffing and wrapped in Waberthwaite air dried ham, Roast wood pigeon with nettle risotto and black pudding and finishing with Highland pate with Generals relish.
