GET YOUR BAKING
UP TO SCRATCH IN TIME FOR NATIONAL BAKING WEEK

Celebrate National Baking Week (October 17-23) by doing justice to your bakes, cakes and breads and sharing the love of well baked bounty fresh from your own oven.

LucyCooks – the Lake District cookery school – has some fabulous baking courses to help lift your loaves and better your baps, both in advance of the national celebration of baking and during the week itself.

On October 9, a Breads of the World course will help you sort out your focaccia from your sourdough at a cost of just £145 for a full day’s practical running from 9.30am to 4pm, inclusive of lunch and a host of bread to take home at the end of the day.

On October 20, there is a ‘Here Come The Girls’ baking course and on October 21 a Pies, Puddings and Perfect Pastry course. Both also run from 9.30 to 4pm, include lunch and the food that you can take home and cost £135 and £145 respectively.

On October 22, you can tickle your taste buds with an Afternoon Tea and Temptations event, at which you can watch a bakery demonstration and then indulge in the tasting of the delights produced by the LucyCooks chef. This relaxing event runs from 2pm to 5pm and costs £35.

And, just after National Baking Week ends, there is an October 28 Cakes and Bakes course, just perfect for wannabe cake queens who want to be the cream of the crop when it comes to their cake creations. This course, again running from 9.30am to 4pm costs £135.
