Lovers of La Bella Italia and its wonderful cuisine have the opportunity to learn how to re-create its taste sensations in our Master Class Italian-focused cookery course staged at Lake District cookery school, LucyCooks. The ‘Master Class’ series at LucyCooks is aimed at the keen amateur chef with existing skills but with a definite thirst for more knowledge. If you have a passion for real food and a flair that just needs a little more encouragement then this is the course for you! This class will use advanced kitchen skills to show you how to produce the tastes and flavours of traditional Italian cookery.
DURING YOUR DAY:
Our one day courses are designed to be fun hands-on and interactive – whatever your age, experience, or ability.
Arrive between 9.15am and 9.30 and enjoy coffee and a morning snack in the ‘Bubbling Beck’ riverside room…. Meet and chat with those also enjoying a relaxing and informative day at LucyCooks. You will get to meet your chef for the day who will do a short introduction to LucyCooks and let you know the format for your day ahead.
Around 10.00am move upstairs to the fully practical kitchen area – where you will be directed to one of our delightful galley kitchens, each one of which is fully equipped to your specific requirements, with a choice of gas, electric or induction hobs. There are also facilities for those with disabilities and children of varying ages.
Your fully practical course will start with a demonstration by your chef. You will then return to your kitchen, copy what they have shown you and start cooking…..
Lunch is a social affair back in the BubblingBeck… something light and delicious accompanied by a glass of wine.
The Afternoon session is some more watching, learning and doing, with a refreshment break somewhere along the way. By the time you have finished at around 4.00pm, you will have hopefully picked up a few tips and enjoyed a break from your regular routine.
We don’t profess to send you out with a diploma on kitchen management and culinary skills, but you will leave with a variety of new skills and inspiration. You will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labors back in the comfort of your own home and be proud of what you have achieved as you get to take all of your goodies home at the end of the day.
