CHEF DEMO & DINE...

Wanting to spend some time doing something just that little bit different ... why not come and enjoy our alternative dining experience at LucyCooks.

Once a month we invite a guest chef to take over LucyCooks in order to demonstrate dishes and chat about how they have achieved all that they have in the culinary world. From local celebrities and writers to guests from further afield. All our ‘Big Friday’ chefs have stories to tell and will inspire you to really get ‘into food’.

This time we have invited one of Cumbria’s brightest up and coming chefs, Nick Martin. He’s a regular at food events around the county and is well known for his lively and entertaining demonstrations.

Originally from Liverpool, Nick came to Cumbria in the early 1980s and never went home! He has more than 25 years experience as a chef working in Lake District hotels and now concentrates on his cookery demonstrations.

Rather like a 'culinary bookclub’ without the homework' The evening commences at 6.30pm with a drink and introduction to fellow guests, you can have a good look around the facilities at LucyCooks and hopefully be inspired to come and 'cook' on another occasion. You will then be seated 'dinner party' style in our lovely big Aga kitchen and enjoy watching our celebrity chef demonstrate something delicious, upon which you will then dine. Price includes half a bottle of wine per person. There is a large plasma screen, so plenty of visibility. Soft drinks and beer will be available to purchase. Recipes and handy hints will be freely given out and there will be the opportunity to ask questions. This is a most enjoyable 'alternative' dining experience whether you wish to come with friends or alone.
(we aim to finish the evening at 10.00pm – however, you may be having so much fun that you stay a little longer!)
