Cooking Schools clinch sales? Read on…

Once you have used a Neff oven, you are more likely to want one for your own kitchen. That’s exactly why we have always been keen to support selected cookery schools around the UK. We know from experience that once a Neff oven has been used in a cookery school, the cooks will be keen to replicate the same results at home in their own kitchen.

A good example of this philosophy in practice is LucyCooks in Staveley near Kendal in Cumbria. (www.lucycooks.co.uk). As well as a brand new cookery school fully equipped with Neff cooking appliances, proprietor Lucy Nicholson owns and runs a very successful delicatessen and two restaurants in Ambleside, plus an outside catering company. The innovative new cookery school offers one day practical cookery courses and demonstrations for all ages and abilities, from 9 to 90, at its inspiring premises in the beautiful Lake District.

“Attending a cookery school is now more accessible than ever”, reports Neff Brand Manager Hannah Watson. “Consumers can choose a course that is relevant to their specific culinary interests and acquire new skills at the same time”.

Adds Hannah: “We like to work with cookery schools as they are the ideal environment in which to actively demonstrate the virtues of cooking with Neff”.

The Neff Sales Team went along to LucyCooks earlier this year to see the facilities for themselves and take part in a special cookery demonstration with head chef, Dale Blacow. As our photos show, it was a lively event with new hands-on skills being developed by the entire apron-clad team.

Lucy Nicholson says she is delighted to be working with Neff on the new cookery school. “Having such a well-known brand as Neff in the kitchen gives the students confidence”, confirms Lucy, “and so we can be confident that their results will reflect all the effort put in to the course, by us and by them!”
